Health

We have been learning about the 4 walls in Health class. Heres some of the work ive been learning about

Health - Miss Dougherty

4 Walls:

  • Spiritual (Taha Wairua) - Family, Friends, People, Social Media
  • Physical (Taha Tinana)- Movement Exercise, Body, Food + Drink
  • Mental/Emotional ( Taha Hinengaro)- Mindset, Mental State, Feelings
  • Social ( Taha Whanau) - Values, Religion, Important, Beliefs.

How the 4 walls associate in my life:

Snapchat, Instagram = Social - I can communicate with friends I don't have time to hang with
Eating = Physical - I use my body to put the food in my mouth and chew it with my teeth
Listen to music = Mental/Emotional- The lyrics makes me emotional or mental
Getting Baptised = Spiritual - It's important to my religion

I feel alot of emotions throughout the day. It depends who is around me.

Omaru Creek

Mad Ave
3
Write a paragraph to describe the events on the day ?
When we entered the event we had to be seated on the grass under a tent, then we waited a while for all the schools to be seated. When they were seated there was a man performing a powhiri for us and after that we had to go to the creek to see what was next.

When everyone gathered around the creek there was a man standing in the creek with gumboots on. The man was talking in Maori, so i didn't understand what he was saying.

When he finished there was a play from these two girls, they also did it in another language so i couldn't understand what they were saying either. Their play was a little creepy but also funny.
Lastly we went to the Tongans, they did a song where 2 girls were in a tree climbing down it and singing at the same time.
