Today in Food Tech we made Blueberry Muffins

Step 1
Mix the ingredients together with the plastic scraper

- 1 1/2 cup of S.R.Flour
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of oil
- 1/3 cup of milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla

Step 2
Serve it to muffin tray

Step 3
Bake at 180°c for 15 min

Food Technology - Quiche

Today in Food Tech we made Quiche. Firstly we had to slice the pastry into 12 pieces. Then we had to use the Pastry brush to spread the oil around the muffin trays. We then added the pastry & the ham & cheese. Lastly, we had to whisk milk and 4 eggs together and top it off into the quiche.

Quiche

Step 1 - Cut the pastry into 12 pieces

Step 2 - Dice the ham

Step 3 - Put into the muffin tray

• Ham 
• Cheese
• Top with egg & milk

Step 4 - Whisk 4 eggs with a cup of milk.

Today in Food Tech we made Chocolate Muffins. First, we had to get all our ingredients in one big measuring bowl. Then next we had to mix all together with the plastic scraper until it was not too thick but not too watery. Then we scooped it into our muffin tray and cooked it for 15 minutes in the oven and Cleaned.

Step 1 - Measure the Ingredients

1.  1 1/2 cup of Self-raising Flour
2. 1/2 cup of sugar
3. 1 egg
4. 1/3 cup of cocoa
5. 50g of chocolate chips
6. 1/2 cup of milk
7. 1/2 cup of oil

Step 2 - Mix well together and scoop into the muffin tray

Step 3 - Bake for 15 muffins 180°c

Step 4 - Clean & Eat

Will Smith uncle felt very proud of him when his team won the big final basketball team but Will Smith had a secret he had to tell his family.  His secret has affected his Mental & Emotional well-being because he had been receiving drugs from his school friends, as he said in the video 'to keep him awake' during practice. Then one of his family members had taken it and it has affected his Physical well-being, by partaking the drugs. He confronted his family and they were all in shock.

  His social well-being has been affected because of the relationship with his Family. One of his cousins may have died because he has taken the drugs, but even though he almost killed one of his family members they still love him. 

His spiritual well-being has been affected because of the beliefs and values his family stands for. They think that drugs are stupid and it could kill you, but he still went and did it anyway. 

 

Food Technology

Today in Food Tech we cooked hotcakes.

The skills for this week is

• How to measure the ingredients correctly

The ingredients we used was

• 1 1/2 cup of plain flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 cup of sugar
• 1 cup of milk
• 1 egg

We had to put all the ingredients in one big measuring bowl and whisk it together. Once we mixed well using the whisk we had to heat up the oil in the frying pan. After that, we cooked 2 hotcakes at a time. We had to wait till bubbles appeared on the face of the cake then we could flip it. We put maple syrup on top and ate it. 

In Social Studies I had to research about Chinese Migration. I had to find out the Push & Pull reasons about their migration.

Social Studies

In Social Studies I studied Political Party policies of education, Housing and Health.

The education policy that i best supported was the Maori party policy because i personally think that ensuring all students who have graduated to have a driver licence, bank account, IRD number and a CV will definitely help them get a job. I also think that providing free education for primary and secondary children will be very helpful to those who are in need to pay bills and also buying their children lunch every week. It will help those that are in need of money. I agree with the Maori party because their policy has the best reasons on what Aotearoa needs.

The housing policy that i best supported was the Maori E because it will help those who need help. For those who need a house and also to those with kids and they are homeless, they definitely a home to take care of their children. It will help us Pasifika and Maori people a lot if the housing decrease because a lot of us can not afford the new houses.

The Health policy that i best supported was the TOP party  because smoking can pollute our air and also the smoke buds make our grounds look ugly and unclean. Also because of the law of children being obese because it is unhealthy for their health, when they grow up their health might not be good. I think that this is the best health policy because smoking can damage you're lungs and being obese is very bad for our health.
